How big is the Pulsar Plus?

Small enough that it disappears on a garage wall. It is the most compact charger in our range, with a 5m tethered Type 2 cable, and it is the one people choose when the charger is going somewhere visible. The short cable is the trade: 5m reaches a car parked close to the wall, and it does not reach across a double garage to a car parked nose-out. Measure the run before you order, because a charger that does not reach is an expensive ornament.

Can it charge from surplus solar?

Yes, with a compatible power meter added. Solar optimisation control is a metered function rather than a built-in one, so budget for the meter if following your solar matters to you. Charge control, scheduling, statistics and notifications run through the myWallbox app on iOS and Android without any extra hardware.

Which version do I need?

7kW for single-phase homes, 22kW for three-phase. Both run at up to 32A. Almost every Perth home is single phase, which means 7kW and roughly 40km of range an hour, which is an overnight charge and then some. Three-phase supply is the only reason to consider the 22kW model.

Does PSW Energy install the Pulsar Plus?

It is stocked as a collection or delivery item, so ask for installation on the quote. Unlike the Goodwe HCA, Sungrow and Tesla Wall Connector units, this one is not listed with in-house installation as standard. We can still fit it. Add it to a quote, say you want it installed, and we will price the electrical work against your switchboard and cable run. Your written quote confirms the current manufacturer warranty term.
