PSW Explains

Enphase warranties and the preferred installer programme

Microinverters beneath the panels can add roof-access labour to an Enphase warranty claim. Check your original warranty documents for labour cover and any preferred-installer conditions.

Enphase Warranty Australia
In this article

Enphase microinverters put an inverter under every panel, which changes what a warranty has to cover: not one box on a wall but a device on the roof for each module, and the labour to reach it.

Enphase cover and servicing

  • PSW Energy no longer sells Enphase. This page is kept for people who already own it.
  • The preferred-installer programme was the mechanism for the enhanced warranty position.
  • Labour and access are the expensive part of a microinverter claim, because the unit is on the roof under a panel.
  • Enphase is not in the PSW range.

Microinverter access and labour

The architecture is genuinely good: per-panel monitoring, no single point of failure, and shade on one module does not drag the string. The trade is unit count. Twenty panels means twenty inverters, each with its own service life, and a fault in year twelve is a roof visit rather than a wall visit. Worth knowing before comparing a microinverter quote against a string one on price alone.

Support for existing Enphase systems

We do not sell Enphase. There is an Enphase reconnection guide here if your monitoring has dropped off.

We support microinverters we did not install and brands we no longer sell, through PSW Life Support. If you are replacing rather than repairing, what we currently fit is in the range.
