LG stopped making solar panels in 2022. If you have LG modules on your roof, that is the fact that matters now, and it is more important than anything this page originally said about dealer status.
LG's manufacturing exit
- PSW Energy no longer sells LG. This page is kept for people who already own it.
- LG announced its exit from solar panel manufacturing in 2022 and wound production down that year.
- The mono-X Plus carried 15-year product and 25-year performance cover; the NeON 2 and NeON R carried 25 and 25.
- Confirm the current warranty position with LG directly — a manufacturer leaving a category does not automatically end its obligations, but it does change how a claim is handled.
Replacing an LG module
The panels themselves were good and plenty of them are still generating. The awkward part of owning one is not performance, it is that a replacement module is no longer made, so a warranty outcome is more likely to be a settlement or a substitution than a like-for-like swap.
Support for LG owners
We do not sell LG and cannot speak for its warranty administration. We will still look at an LG array, and if a module needs replacing the practical answer is usually a current panel matched on electrical characteristics rather than on brand.
We support panels we did not install and brands we no longer sell, through PSW Life Support. If you are replacing rather than repairing, what we currently fit is in the range.
Record: warranty terms as published at the time of writing in 2020. Confirm against your own documentation before relying on them.
