PSW Energy has received the Sigenergy Excellent Installer Award 2026, presented on stage at Sigenergy’s global partner gala dinner in Shanghai on Tuesday, 2 June 2026. Founder Derek McKercher accepted the award at the Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao on behalf of the Western Australian team, in a room that held Sigenergy’s senior leadership and partner companies from markets across the world.

The gala dinner closed out Sigenergy’s global partner gathering at the Hilton Shanghai Hongqiao. Derek was joined by Roy Zhang, Sigenergy’s Head of Global Sales and Solution Management, and by founder and CEO Tony Xu. Also at the table was Abhilash Borana, CEO of Sigenergy India, who founded Irish installer Fáilte Solar and was named to the 2022 Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe list before taking on Sigenergy’s entry into the Indian market.
Installer credentials
A product-agnostic business, PSW Energy holds Sigenergy Gold Installer status, the inaugural Gold tier in Western Australia. Sigenergy’s installer tiers are built on the partner record over time: cumulative installed capacity, commissioning quality and the standard of service customers receive after handover. The Excellent Installer Award 2026 is the global recognition layered on top of that standing, and it is scarce. To date, Sigenergy has presented only 10 of these awards worldwide, across an installer network spanning every major storage market.
It also joins a wider credential set. PSW Energy is a NETCC-approved seller, holds Bureau Veritas-certified ISO 9001/14001/45001 at the group level, and its installers are SAA-accredited for grid-connected PV and battery storage work.
Manufacturer recognition
